Workbench is a special buyable item in TCG Card Shop Simulator that allows players to bundle junk cards into bulk boxes for sale. Although it is not used as a merchandise display stand, the Workbench enables players to make a profit from low-value cards that would otherwise take up space in the inventory.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The Workbench is unlocked at level 10 and costs $1,000. It provides a way to bundle and sell unwanted cards as bulk boxes, helping players clear out their inventory and earn additional income. Bulk boxes are created quickly, taking approximately 5 seconds per bundle, but they sell relatively slowly. Despite the slow sales, bulk boxes are currently the only available method to profit from low-value cards that are not worth selling individually on a card table.

Creating a Bulk Card Bundle[edit | edit source]

To create a bulk card bundle at the Workbench, players must follow several steps:

  • **Choose the Card Expansion**: Players select the card expansion to bundle, such as Tetramon Base, Tetramon Destiny, or Tetramon Ghost. It is uncommon to have enough low-value Ghost cards to create a bundle.
  • **Select a Rarity**: Players can bundle cards by rarity, choosing from Any, Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary. The "Any" option is often used to remove low-value cards regardless of rarity.
  • **Set a Price Range**: Players select a minimum and maximum price range. Cards with values within the inclusive minimum and exclusive maximum will be eligible for bundling.
  • **Set Minimum Card to Retain**: Players can choose to retain a specific number of each card. Currently, this option is used to keep a single copy of each card for collection purposes. Future updates may allow keeping multiple copies for trading or deck-building.

Bulk Box Types and Profit Margins[edit | edit source]

The value of the bulk card bundle created depends on the least valuable card in the bundle, as shown in the table below. Profit margins vary from approximately 11% for White Base boxes to 110% for Red Destiny boxes, based on player experiences.

Box Minimum Price (Inclusive) Maximum Price (Exclusive) Base Value Destiny Value
White $0.00 $1.00 $11.60 - $12.40 $20.29 - $21.30
Yellow (HG) $1.01 $2.00 $68.72 - $71.75 $74.56 - $80.00
Pink (MG) $2.01 $3.00 $122.63 - $180.40 $146.56 - $199.18
Red (PG) $3.01 $5.00 $267.45 - $353.90 $340.36 - $455.30
